When and If I Return From My Workout I'll Give You the Lowdown on the Composer of Jupiter, the Rugby World Cup Theme Song

RUGBY SectionJust this past weekend I attended a concert by the quasi German composer Mahler and during the whole piece I couldn't help about thinking who wrote the theme for the Rugby World Cup?

It is a beautiful composition and I kept asking myself shouldn't the theme be by a British composer? And frankly how many English musical composer are there?
Let's make it easy. Few.

So I wikipediaed it and guess what, the theme song Jupiter was composed by a British Composer. Unbelieveable.

His name is Gustav Von Holst. Not your typical English name but yes, born in England of Swedish and Latvian parents who dropped the 'von' during WWI because of anti German sentiment.

Now I further inquired about the guy and a German friend said,"With a name like VON HOLST, of course , he is a German."
So there you go, the truth about Jupiter and the composer of the RugbyWorld Cup Theme Song.

Perhaps the national song of England should be "God Save the Kaiser"

It all makes sense to me now.
