If you think that South Africa are world beaters because they swallowed andigested the Wallabies in one big gulp, you are really very stupid. You are really thick as bricks.

Wallabies dodged a bullet because they are tough, resilient and will do anything and everything to win. That's the difference.

After the second viewing I can see where it all went wrong. I call it sledge hammer rugby... trying to drive a pin in hardwood with a five pound hammer. The pin usually wins because the hammer usually misses. One might say that it's hard for any rugby team, let alone the Goliaths of South Africa, to start and finish in fifth gear. The Wallabies, being smarter and more versatile were simply able athletically to wriggle out of any loose situation. Add running out of gas to the equation and, I think, you have an unsuccessful Bokkie equation.

The rugby scene is just about to explode. The competitions in New Zealand and South Africa and even in Australia are approaching the halfway and the NH is just beginning to take shape.

I haven't seen South Africa play so poorly since one of the early matches after isolation when Johan LeRoux took a little nibble out of Sean Fitzpatrick's ear.
It was abysmal.

This match is easily the most difficult of the year for me. As anybody who knows me I am a huge Robbie Deans supporter. To go against the grain doesn't mean that I have lost any respect for his rugby genius but I do think that the Wallabies have more weakness than the Bokkies in South Africa.

Which means in about eight hours. I have to give this some intense thought as I will have to watch the match at Clancy's or McCormicks in New York City unfortunately on my way home.

There isn't anything else I am interested at the moment but the 3N. I don't care about the CC or ANZ and last and least, what is happening in the Northern Hemisphere as they prepare for another dull year of rugby football.

If I were to pick a winner in Saturday's match between Australia and South Africa, I would go for the Boks.
Here's why.

I think that right now, before anything has broken in the rugby press, the factual aspect of the match Saturday between the Wallabys and Springboks will , but of course, focus on the important reality that South Africa did indeed out scrummage the New Zealanders.
