It isn't a personal thing for me. Sexton is a young man so typical of the pedantic boring flyhalves Ireland have produced in the last twenty years.

The same was true of David Humphries and now his brother Ian Humphries at Ulster.

The days of Mike Gibson are gone but Ian Keatley is my man.

I have found that Sexton, who is a tall slender fellow(substantial too), runs too upright and bends from the shoulders down , not the waist, when tackled. I think he is more prone to spilling the ball in the tackle and when I say he is selfish, I mean that he likes to run at the opposition.

When I say that he is mentally not there, it is that he runs with no support and from anywhere with no support. Nobody minds a chap having a go, but look around for the support, which Ireland now have the ability and fitness to do.

But he is only 21 0r 22 but the Boks and Broussow and his brother third line will be ready and waiting.

He'll have to play mighty clever to beat the Boks, the best he has ever played, unless the Irish pack dissolves the Springbok pack, which I don't think hey will do.

Like I said, last week was important because it was an illusionary match and a resting period for the real players.

We got to see the alterntives for a change last weekend.

Now it is back to the way sides are supposed to play.

I hope he does play well.

I love to be wrong about a player or a coach.

I just don't like selecting international players from the same clubs over and over.

I have seen many players who for whatever reason cannot get to Cnterbury or the Blue Bulls or Toulouse or Tahs or Wasps or Munster or Cardiff simply overlooked.

Professionalism doesn't have anything to do with family and committment.

Some players who love rugby are not prepared NOR DO THEY WANT TO BE FORCED to play for a club to play for their country.
