Captain DooDoo in a Teacup

RUGBY StoriesI haven't read overachiever and chief brown noser Springbok Captain John Smit's book Captain in a Cauldron or something pussyish like that.
John Smit may be a great leader; he may be a great captain, he may have all of the world on his side in those departments, but he still cannot play rugby.
He is by far the worst converted tighthead in the history of rugby.
The Springboks , much to my shock and dismay, did have a fantastic year.
Blame it on how the Wallabys and the All Blacks were coached.
You may give a level of credibility to Pieter de Villiers although I might heartily disagree.
As I have said many time on this site, it happens often in rugby: even a blind pig occasionally finds an acorn.
Such was the case of the Springboks as they haplessly played an outclassed England twice in their bid for a second RWC, a brilliant S14 championship in the Bulls( an absolutely underachieving Chiefs) and a well DISTURBED 3N championship in 09.
But back to 08 3N and the real indicator of just how bad they are and still are.
Brown Nosing Smit blames the ubiquitous Luke Watson as the divisive factor in his book.
Luke Watson, who now bears a striking similarity to the late actor Oliver Reed,
is still to blame for everything that has gone wrong for the Boks since before he was the Captain of Western Province.
A thought just entered my mind. Why was there no mention of the Watsons in the Eastwood film INVICTUS?
Anyway, the rugby world will playout all these eccentric characters like Gareth Thomas and Luke Watson till the cows came in.
